Chad Trpkosh

Paraplanner

In 2018 I  joined PFG Advisors, where I support Paul Scioli’s financial planning practice. I focus much of my time on servicing the retirement programs we offer to employees of the University Medical Center at TTU.

My degree in Personal Financial Planning is from Texas Tech University.

What do you love best about your work?
Being in an environment where the clients are people before they are account numbers. We take a client-first approach, and I appreciate that we treat people well.

What are the biggest challenges you face at work?
We offer a broad range of services, which means that we have to master a knowledge set that is both wide and deep. We touch every aspect of financial planning in a given day, and the biggest challenge for me is being adaptable to receive whatever is coming my way.

What does it take to be really good at what you do?
You have to be on your toes, easy-going, and willing to do what the team needs.

What are you most proud of at your work at PFG?
I love the personal touch. While we keep records, we also really like to know all of our clients on a deeper level without having to look them up. When they call, it’s nice to be able to ask about their family, or their business, and to show them that we care.

What are you passionate about outside of your work?
The outdoors. I enjoy hunting and fishing. Anything related to Tech athletics.  I’m a big fan of the Rangers, Stars, and Cowboys.
